Merry-Go-Round EPI raised an electricity-generating zip-line at the workshop in Ghana in July 2008. Safety features are being added before a zip-line is installed at a rural school. Swing Set A team of students at Brigham Young University-Idaho designed and built a four-seat swing set with an attached generator in 2008. Alan Riser, a US manufacturer, traveled to Ghana to work with Kweku Anno devise a way to build the swing set using local materials in 2009. Empower Playgrounds installed the first electricity-generating glider swing with an attached generator at the rural island school of Pediatorkorpe in November 2009. |
